2016年5月17日下午3点,澳大利亚科廷大学(Curtin University) Shaobin Wang (王少彬)教授受邀在新葡亰8883ent245会议室为我院师生作了题目为“Carbon-based nanomaterials as catalysts for catalytic reactions”的学术报告。本次报告会由化工学院院长褚良银教授主持。
首先,王少彬教授介绍了澳大利亚的地理分布情况,并简单介绍了科廷大学的建校历史以及今后的发展方向。在学术报告部分,王少彬教授从三部分进行了报告,第一部分介绍了基于金属及金属氧化物催化氧化环境污染有机物;第二部分介绍了基于氮掺杂、硫掺杂、氮硫混合掺杂的石墨烯替代金属离子实现单过硫酸根的催化反应过程,最后一部分介绍了C3N4材料用于光催化反应。报告结束,Shaobin Wang教授和现场师生进行了热烈交流,他耐心地回答了老师和同学们从金属离子与碳材料在水处理领域的效果与应用前景、工业化等多方面的问题,学术气氛十分热烈。
通过此次精彩的学术报告,化工师生们不仅深入了解了科廷大学,也感受到西澳城市珀斯市(Perth)的风土人情,并对石墨烯等碳材料的催化领域有了新的认识和收获,受益良多。
附王少彬(Shaobin Wang)教授情况简介:
Prof. Wang obtained BSc and MSc from Peking University and PhD in Chemical Engineering from University of Queensland, Australia. He is now a Professor at Department of Chemical Engineering, Curtin University, Australia. His research interests focus on nanomaterial synthesis and application for adsorption and catalysis, fuel and energy conversion and environmental remediation. He has published more than 280 refereed journal papers and his paper citation was over 10000 with H-index =54. He was awarded 2012 Thomson Reuters Citation & Innovation Awards in Australia. He is an editorial board member of several international journals.
